Welcome to Cait’s Plate!

Welcome to Cait’s Plate and thanks for visiting!

I began Cait’s Plate back in 2009 as a way to share and inspire both myself and others to try new things, get creative in the kitchen, eat healthier when possible, indulge when you want to and just enjoy life to the fullest!

Over the years it has evolved into so much more as I do my best to balance a career, a social life, being active, having fun and eating really good food.

If you ever have any questions – please feel free to email me at caitsplate@gmail.com. I’m always happy to hear what you have to say πŸ™‚

**Just to preface this – I’m not certified as a nutritionist or a registered dietitian so nothing I say or do should be taken in that context.

Also, how did you find a job with Health? I’m moving to NYC in a few months and would LOVE to find a job in the health/publishing/editing field.

    • caitsplate says:

Hey Emily! So exciting that you’ll be moving to the city! I actually came upon this job because I had done a Time Inc. Networking thing in college and I had specified that Health was my area of interest. I’ll definitely keep my eyes peeled around here and let you know if I hear of any openings, but otherwise I’d suggest mediabistro.com – it’s a GREAT source for publishing jobs πŸ™‚ GOOD LUCK and thanks for reading!!

    Hey Cait!

What do you do at Health? I’m a media planner in the city and meet with ad sales reps from Health. I was an avid follower of the same blogs as you, and also just recently started my own blog! I was excited to see another NY blogger (doesn’t it seem like everyone is in the South??). I’ll be reading! Check mine out if you get a chance!

  22. Hi Cait, love the site! I’m looking forward to reading more! Your job at Health sounds really awesome. πŸ™‚ Are you looking into becoming an RD or DTR?

  23. Cait,

Got your blog info from my brother (Greg E.) – it’s awesome, and I love your take on things. I’ve been working as a health & fitness specialist with my company (started our health & wellness programs about 6 years ago), training clients and coaching them to a healthier lifestyle, and it’s refreshing to see a handful of others (on your blog) that just seem to “get it”. I couldn’t agree more, life isn’t about “diets”…the word itself is short-term in nature…it’s about putting the best fuel in your system, consistently, if you want the best performance from your “machine”. And if you put some low-octane in once and again…no big deal, sometimes it just tastes good…but if it’s always…your “machine” will fail. So happy you’ve joined our Wellness Challenge on team “Greg E”. Looking forward to reading your blog.

    • Eric – Oh yay! I’m so glad you like it!! And thanks for stopping by! πŸ™‚ I’m definitely excited to partake in the Wellness Challenge! Greg has always filled me in on what you guys do and I’m always so jealous. Seems like such an awesome job!
